As with any platform, VSCO creators may be notified of content removals, suspensions, or account restrictions with which they don’t agree. In these instances, it is important to understand our Community Guidelines and our appeals process. This article serves as your comprehensive guide to navigating the appeals process, and provides insights into how to effectively address and resolve your concerns.
Content and Suspension Appeals
Before submitting an appeal, take the time to review our Community Guidelines to understand any guideline(s) you may have violated. Understanding these policies is key to the appeals process.
If you decide to submit an appeal, the process can be initiated by visiting our Help Center and clicking on the chat box to contact us via email.
1. Select “Make an Appeal” under the “How Can We Help” section, and then select the applicable appeal type.
2. Under the “Description” section, please provide your username and an explanation of why you don’t agree with the action taken against your content or account.
|
3. Check the email you provided once you’ve submitted your appeal for confirmation of submission. If you have relevant context, documentation, or information that supports your claim, you can include them in your appeal by replying to this email.
Our Trust & Safety team is dedicated to reviewing each appeal, so we ask that you avoid submitting multiple for the same issue. We take every appeal seriously and per our discretion all decisions are final.
Age Collection Appeals
You may have noticed that VSCO is in the process of collecting the age of all of our creators. This allows us to continue creating a safe environment on VSCO, as our Terms of Use require account holders to be at least 13 years of age. Therefore, all account holders younger than 13 will be suspended. If you think this has been done in error or you submitted an incorrect birth date by mistake, you’re able to appeal this submission and subsequent suspension.
This appeal type can be initiated the same way as above, by visiting our Help Center and clicking on the chat box to contact Support.
1. When prompted to email, under the “How Can We Help” section, select “Make an Appeal” and then select “Age Collection”.
2. You will receive an email to the address you provided in your appeal requesting a copy of your valid government-issued photo ID, such as your driver’s license or passport.
3. Once we receive your ID, we’ll continue our review of your appeal. If you’re unable or unwilling to provide your ID, VSCO will not be able to process your request.
4. We will inform you of our decision via email.
Your privacy is important to us. Please know that our email inbox is secure and managed by dedicated staff on our Trust & Safety Team. Once your information is received, it is reviewed and then promptly deleted. We do not make paper copies, nor do we retain copies of these documents for our records.
If you have any additional questions, please visit our Safety Center.
