To access more generation credits after you have reached your limit you’ll need to upgrade to our Pro or Plus Membership offering.

1. On a web browser, navigate to vsco.co and click the Canvas button from the left-hand menu.

2. Once in VSCO Canvas click into the template project on your screen or select New File to start a blank project.

3. Create a name for your project in the top left hand corner. Your project name will automatically be saved.

4. A template prompt generation will appear to get you started or click on the X button on the generation menu to return to the main menu.
   
   

5. On the main menu you can tap the Photo icon to upload an image directly from your local device to get started on your project.

How to Generate an Image

1. Click the Plus Sign on the main navigation menu to add a new image generation frame, and drag the frame to your desired location on your project.

2. The Prompt Menu will appear, and here you can add in the prompt to generate your image.
   
   Prompts are descriptions to help generate the image you are looking for. Try writing about concepts, subjects, themes, etc.
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Select Generate to create your image.

Fine-Tune with Region Prompting

1. If you want to modify only part of the image, select the Region Prompt option.

2. Move and crop the blue box to the area of the image that you wish to modify and add your prompt into the Region Prompt box.

3. Select Generate and view your edit.

If you have multiple region prompts on an image you can tell them apart by hovering over the area on the image and viewing the text of the region prompt.

Try Variations or Reroll

1. If you are happy with your prompt, but want to see a different image simply click Reroll to generate a new image with the same prompt.

2. If you like the generated image, but want additional options click Add Variation to create 3 similar images.

3. When adding variations, select Very Similar, Middle, or Very Different on the sliding scale to choose the difference level of the new images.

Image Edits

1. Select the Edit Tool to make edits to any generated or imported image.
   
   
   
   
   
2. VSCO Canvas currently supports the following editing tools:
   
   Light & Contrast: Brightness, Exposure, Contrast, Clarity
   
   
   Color & White Balance: Temperature, Tint, Saturation, Vibrance, Hue
   
   
   Highlights & Shadows: Highlights, Shadows, White Level, Black Level
   
   
   Effects & Filters: Grain, Blur, Dilate

3. Select the Crop Tool to crop your image using templates or freeform.

Text Boxes

1. Select the Add Text button on the main lefthand menu to add text to your project.

2. You can adjust the color, front, and size of any text box and move it to a desired location on the project.

Suggestion: Try using text boxes to label your mood board or if you are collaborating with someone, use a text box to leave a note on their Canvas project.

1. Click the Share button in the top right of a project screen.
   
   
   
2. Enter an email address and select invite to share a link via email with a collaborator.
   
   You can also share the link with them directly by copying the share link once you’ve added their email to the project.
   
   
   
3. All collaborators will need to create a VSCO account in order to access your VSCO Canvas project.

4. Here you can also control access settings of all collaborators. Collaborators can be Viewers (can view only) or Editor (can make changes). You can remove access anytime from this screen as well.

Export Your Images

1. Select the Export button on the main lefthand menu.
   
   
   
   
   
2. Here you can select one or multiple images to download as PNG.

1. You can view all of your personal projects, and all projects shared with you, on the main page of VSCO Canvas.
   
   
   
   
   
2. Projects are ordered based on most recent edits, but you can search for a project name, or filter by projects owned by you or others.
