How do I delete my VSCO Account?

At VSCO, it’s important that you have ownership of your creative journey, which includes controlling your content and your data.

To help you maintain that ownership of your data, we offer the options to download, correct, or delete your information.  

We encourage you to follow the steps below to delete your account yourself before contacting Support.

Please read this article carefully and entirely to ensure you understand how you can delete your data from VSCO. 

If you’d like to delete your data, you have the option to delete your account. Once you submit your deletion request, it may take several hours to fully delete your data. During this time, your account may still be publicly viewable.

Please note that deleting your account includes deletion of your images, and mobile and desktop purchases. Once your account has been deleted, you won’t be able to reactivate your account or retrieve anything. Deleting your VSCO account cannot be undone. 

If you’d prefer to keep your content and data on VSCO, you can deactivate your account by following the instructions here.

Please note that we may be unable to immediately delete certain types of personal information due to regulatory or legal requirements. This information will be deleted in accordance with our policies. 

You must sign into VSCO on a web browser (not the VSCO app) to delete your VSCO account, either on your mobile device or a desktop/laptop computer. Additionally, you must verify your device by following instructions in the steps below before you can delete the account. 

For VSCO Members:
Deleting your VSCO account will not automatically cancel your VSCO Membership as subscriptions are handled by Apple and Google. To cancel your VSCO Membership, please see our article. 

 

If you no longer have access to your email, phone number, Facebook, Google or Apple sign on but wish to delete your VSCO account, please submit a ticket. 

 

Delete VSCO Account created with an email

You must carefully follow each step below in order to successfully delete your VSCO account:
 
1. Sign into vsco.co on a web browser such as Chrome, Safari (not the VSCO app), either on your mobile device or a desktop/laptop computer.
2. IMPORTANT: Check your email inbox for the device verification email from VSCO and click on 'Verify Login'. Note to Gmail users: This email could arrive in the 'Promotions' tab. Note to all email users: check your spam folder if you don't see the verification email in your inbox. Please note it could take between 5-10 minutes for this email verification to arrive in your inbox. 
3. After your device is verified, re-visit vsco.co on a web browser such as Chrome, Safari (not the VSCO app), and sign in.
4. Tap on the Menu icon in the top right corner of the page, then tap on SettingsScreen_Shot_2019-11-19_at_1.52.09_PM.png
5. Scroll to the bottom of your Settings page and tap on ‘Delete My Account’.
6. You'll be prompted to enter your password and you can then delete your account. 
 

Delete VSCO Account created with a phone number

You must carefully follow each step below in order to successfully delete your VSCO account:
 
1. Open the VSCO App and sign into your VSCO Account with your phone number
2. Tap on your Profile tab (smiley face). 
3. Tap on “Edit” located below your profile name.
4. At the bottom of the Edit screen you will see your phone number. 
5. Update the phone number with an email you own. If you receive an error that the email is in use, you may have another VSCO account with this email. You'll need to use a different email. Please make sure this is an email address from which you can send and receive emails.
6. Sign into vsco.co with the email you just added to your VSCO account on a web browser such as Chrome, Safari (not the VSCO app), either on your mobile device or a desktop/laptop computer.
7. IMPORTANT: Check your email inbox for the device verification email from VSCO and click on 'Verify Login'. Note to Gmail users: This email could arrive in the 'Promotions' tab. Delete VSCO Account created with Facebook or Google

You must carefully follow each step below in order to successfully delete your VSCO account:
 
1. Open the VSCO App and sign into your Facebook or Google account. 
2. While signed in with Facebook or Google, tap on your Profile tab (smiley face). 
3. Tap on “Edit” located below your profile name.
4. At the bottom of the Edit screen you will find the email associated with your Facebook or Google sign on. Write down or remember this email. 
5. Sign into vsco.co with the email associated with your Facebook or Google account on a web browser such as Chrome, Safari (not the VSCO app), either on your mobile device or a desktop/laptop computer.
6. IMPORTANT: Check your email inbox for the device verification email from VSCO and click on 'Verify Login'. Note to Gmail users: This email could arrive in the 'Promotions' tab. Note to all email users: check your spam folder if you don't see the verification email in your inbox. Please note it could take between 5-10 minutes for this email verification to arrive in your inbox. 
7. After your device is verified, re-visit vsco.co on a web browser such as Chrome, Safari (not the VSCO app), and sign in.

9. Scroll to the bottom of your Settings page and tap on ‘Delete My Account’.
10. You'll be prompted to enter your password and you can then delete your account. 
 

Delete VSCO Account created with Apple

You must carefully follow each step below in order to successfully delete your VSCO account:
 
1. Open the VSCO App and sign in with your Apple account.
2. While signed in with Apple, tap on your Profile tab (smiley face). 
3. Tap on “Edit” located below your profile name.
4. Update the anonymous Apple email with an email you own at the bottom of the screen. If you receive an error that the email is in use, you may have another VSCO account with this email. You'll need to use a different email. Please make sure this is an email address from which you can send and receive emails.
5. After updating your email, tap on the Check arrow in the top right corner to save your changes.
6. Sign into vsco.co on a web browser such as Chrome, Safari (not the VSCO app), either on your mobile device or a desktop/laptop computer.
7. IMPORTANT: Check your email inbox for the device verification email from VSCO and click on 'Verify Login'. Note to Gmail users: This email could arrive in the 'Promotions' tab. How do I access a copy of my personal data on VSCO?

To get a copy of your data, you can create a downloadable snapshot.

A snapshot is a ZIP file of your content and data on VSCO, which can take up to two hours to create. Once created, you’ll have seven days to download the file.

To download a copy of your personal data on VSCO:

1. Sign into vsco.co on a web browser such as Chrome, Safari (not the VSCO app), either on your mobile device or a desktop/laptop computer.
2. In the top right corner of the screen , tap on the Settings iconScreen_Shot_2019-11-19_at_1.52.09_PM.png

3. Scroll to the bottom of your VSCO account and select the blue ‘Access snapshot’ button.

Please note that images in your Studio will not be included in the snapshot because they are stored locally on your device.
