VSCO app is crashing

We are sorry to hear the VSCO app is crashing for you and are here to help you.

App crashes can be caused by a wide array of technical issues that maybe hard to immediately diagnose.  We hope to do our best to assist you as quickly as we can diagnose the issue.

First, we recommend that you DO NOT delete and reinstall the VSCO app. Doing so could cause you to lose your data / media that has been imported into your VSCO Studio.

We recommend to try the following steps below before reaching out to VSCO Support:

1. Update the VSCO app to the latest version in the App Store or Google Play. You maybe experiencing a crash that was identified by our engineers that was fixed in an update. Please note that we typically release updates to the VSCO app every week.

2. Update your iOS or Android operating system to the latest version. If you are using an older operating system, there could be a technical issue between the latest VSCO app release and an outdated operating system. Please note that we do not support jailbroken or rooted devices. If your VSCO app crashes on a modified operating system, we will be unable to assist you.

3. Create a screen recording of the app crashing and attach this to your support inquiry.  Here is the iOS article for how to create a screen recording.  For Android, you'll need to use a 3rd party app found in Google Play. Providing a screen recording will help our Support agents and Engineering team better understand what you are doing in the VSCO app when it crashes.
