Like many companies, we use online advertising services that employ cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your device and online activity on our websites, apps, and other online services. The advertising services use this information to try to personalize the ads you see online (on platforms outside of VSCO) to your interests and to help us find new users. These ads are called interest-based ads. While we do not “sell” personal information in the conventional sense, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) may classify our use of these services as a “sale” of personal information to those advertising services from which California residents have the right to opt-out.
If you use our iOS mobile application, also go to Settings > Privacy > Apple Advertising and make sure that the toggle next to “Personalized Ads” is in the “off” position (grayed out).
If you use our Android mobile application, also go to Settings > Privacy > Advanced > Ads and make sure that the toggle next to “Opt out of Ads Personalization” is in the “on” position.
Please note that opting-out will not:
1) disable cookies or other technologies that facilitate the functioning of our Service or collect data for purposes that do not involve “sales” of personal information under the CCPA;
2) mean that you will stop seeing interest-based ads or other ads online; or
3) prevent you from seeing interest-based ads that rely on information that, for CCPA purposes, was not “sold”, was “sold” before you opted-out, or was “sold” by third parties outside of our control.If you opt-out, please note that the opt-out is specific to each browser, device, and mobile application, so you will need to opt-out on every browser, device, and mobile application that you use. If you visit us after clearing your cookies, you will need to opt-out again.
