On July 28th, VSCO hosted a fruitful and engaging Creator Session with our very own Product Manager, Zach Hodges. Themed around the history and evolution of VSCO Presets, Zach shared many of his top tips & tricks for making the most out of VSCO's extensive library of Presets and new Pro Presets.

Try the extremes.
As you’re editing, push a control all the way to each end to get a sense of what it can do, and to reset your own vision for the image. Then, dial into where you like. You may discover something great you hadn’t thought of.
Long-press the image for before/after.
Long-press on the image preview to see the unedited original to make sure you like the changes you’ve made in comparison.
Before/after each element.
In the Recipes tab, you can long-press on individual tools or presets to see the image without that one element.
Multiple preset view modes.
Tap on the Preset icon a second time to bring up the view modes menu. You can access grid views of various sizes to see your image with each preset applied at a larger scale.
Contextual Education.
From the control area of any tool or preset, tap on the name of the item at the bottom to pull up contextual education full of helpful explanations, examples, and inspiration.
