Better support for VSCO on iPad
As a frequent VSCO app user on the iPad, I noticed that most part of the interface are just a blown-up of the iPhone version. I think the user experience would be way better if the interface is optimized with the larger screen size of the iPad.
So far editing pictures/ videos is not a problem since it’s still useable, but the Studio view is quite cramped with only 3 colums of pictures. The feed section is not useable at all on landscape mode, since every picture is stretched all the way to fill the screen. Today’s iPad have keyboard support (and thus why I use the app mostly on landscape since my iPad is attached with its keyboard), I would love to see if the app support trackpad input and also having keyboard shortcuts. Not to mention the recent iPad Pro has the M1 processor, it would be great if the app could be optimized, reducing the time to export/ process videos and images. Lightroom or even the built-in edit mode on the Photos app are some of the good examples of optimizing the capabilities from the iPad.
Giving a better support of the iPad version could be a really opportunity since it’s powerful enough to be a pro editing machine, but also with its larger screen it can be a beautiful canvas to display pictures from VSCO. I remember back then (I think it was around 2014), VSCO has a different interface on iPad compared to the iPhone version, and it was really beautiful and intuitive. The app utilized the screen size so it can display more things and overall having a better user experience. I found an article showing screenshots of the old iPad interface here (https://www.cultofmac.com/421416/how-to-make-your-photos-pop-with-vsco-on-ipad/)
Looking forward for the VSCO team to create and develop something great and good looking ;)
